... You get a double boiler for the holidays, and it's shiny and stainless steel and heavy duty and gorgeous and you love it and use it right away to make a new recipe you saw in your cookbook.

My silence today is in protest of the daily silencing of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer people and their allies. My deliberate silence echoes the silence caused by harassment, prejudice and discrimination. I believe that ending this silence is the first step toward fighting these injustices . Think about the voices you are not hearing today.
What are you going to do to end the silence?

You Are Kermit's Fear of Abandonment.
You love banjoes, lily pads, as well as fun lovin' bears and chickens and things. You loved Sesame Street as a child, and watched it two, maybe three times a day. You know all the words to The Rainbow Connection, but you don't necessarily like the fact that you're inevitably paired with a pig for life.
But sadly, like The Muppets, you've been passed around more times than a taped version of Dr. Demento's Dungeons & Dragons bit. Every time Jim Henson's bastard children sell your family to some greedy conglomerate, a little bit of your soul fades away.
But just remember, you know better than anyone that it ain't easy being green.

 | You scored as Arwen. You're Arwen Evenstar! This elven princess may not get in on too much action, but she's always optimistic and hopeful for the future. She does what she can to help her love, Aragorn, who is off fighting, and is always supportive of him. "I would rather spend one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone."

In rereading the 'Anne of Green Gables' series, I realize that I am more like Anne than I ever imagined.
I felt an affinity with her in many respects, saw some of her in myself, but sheesh, it's getting more and more pronounced.
Add that to a Hermione complex and I'm turning into a literary character.
*facepalm*

So, we get the JULY 16 announcement.
THEN.
An old friend of mine, a year younger than myself, tells me to call him.
I do so.
He's ENGAGED.
Getting married in about '08 (he's in police academy).
And wants me to be in the bridal party (yes, HE wants me to be in his wife-to-be's bridal party).
Well, I said yes, because frankly, that's really sweet, and it'll be the first time I'll be in a bridal party.
Wow.
Now if only this damned cold would go away.
